Apoorva Narula is a PhD student in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. He holds a B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering from IIT Delhi, where he graduated first in his cohortand received the Institute Silver Medal for academic excellence.
Apoorva’s research lies at the intersection of optimization, machine learning, and statistical modeling. His work focuses on developing large-scale discrete optimization techniques for combinatorial problems in statistics and data analysis.
His current research interests include:
• Data-driven Large-Scale Optimization
• Change-Point Detection and Pattern Recognition
• Spatiotemporal Statistical Modeling
He is also interested in building methods that combine rigorous mathematical foundations with practical relevance, enabling robust decision-making in complex real-world systems.
