Project Description

The food and nutrition department uses multiple vendors to purchase food products for patients, cafeteria and caterings. Maintaining proper inventory levels can be a challenge, and currently is done through rough estimation. This project would be to establish methods for maintaining proper inventory levels, which also include an emergency stock of food items always on hand for power/water/weather crisis. Carrying extra inventory is costly, and maintaining a proper inventory would have financial impacts related to purchasing costs, revenue generation, and other critical logistical measures.
