Mahya Qorbani is a third-year Ph.D. student in Machine Learning at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is also pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science. Mahya earned her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Iran and is a recipient of the prestigious Stewart Fellowship.

Her research focuses on  developing machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling, with projects conducted in collaboration with industry partners such as Samsung and the U.S. Department of Energy. In Summer 2025, she joined Lyft as a Data Science Intern.
