- B.S. Computational Sciences (2021), Minerva University
Hoang Huy Nguyen is a Ph.D. candidate in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization at Georgia Tech, where he is a recipient of the ARC-ACO Fellowship and IBM Ph.D. Fellowship. Hoang is advised by Professor Siva Theja Maguluri and his research focuses on obtaining finite-time convergence bounds of queuing systems and stochastic optimization algorithms. On the application side, he works on advancing the mathematical reasoning capabilities of AI agents and contributed to Google DeepMind's effort to win the gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad 2025. Prior to his graduate studies, Hoang was an IMO silver medalist and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computational Sciences with a concentration in Mathematics & Operations Research at Minerva University.
