Project Description
Project Title:Development of a Software Tool for Automated Conveyor Configuration and Real-Time Pricing
Project Duration:
June – September 2025
Project Overview:
Interroll currently offers a digital tool that allows customers to configure conveyor systems tailored to their specific operational needs. The focus of this project is to enhance and expand that existing tool by integrating a dynamic pricing module, enabling customers to receive instant and accurate pricing based on their system layout and configuration.
By collaborating with Georgia Tech, this initiative aims to streamline the quotation process, improve the customer experience, and reduce internal workload related to pricing and quotation generation.
Project Objectives:
• Integrate real-time pricing functionality into the existing conveyor configuration tool
• Ensure pricing is accurate, rules-based, and dynamically calculated based on layout and components
• Enhance customer autonomy and shorten the quote-to-order cycle
• Improve efficiency by reducing manual input from engineering and sales teams
• Ensure seamless backend integration with Interroll’s ERP/CRM systems
Project Phases:
🔹 Phase 1 – Requirements Definition & Planning (June – July 2025):
• Define pricing logic, rules, variables, and integration requirements
• Document all functional and technical requirements
• Design the expanded architecture in collaboration with Georgia Tech
🔹 Phase 2 – Development & Deployment (August – September 2025):
• Program and test the pricing engine
• Conduct internal validation, user testing, and system integration
• Pilot with selected users, implement feedback, and prepare for broader rollout
Project Team and Roles:
• Project Sponsor: Scott Cone
Provides executive oversight and resource approval
• Project Manager: Roman Hagan
Leads planning, coordination, and delivery of milestones
• Stakeholder: Brandon McNabb
Ensures solution meets operational needs and customer expectations
• Technical Project Support: Jeff Hyatt
Advises on architecture, system integration, and IT best practices
• Project Coordination: Wilhelm Weinmeister

Expected Outcomes:
• A fully integrated pricing module within the current configuration platform
• Accurate, instant quotations for configured conveyor layouts
• Shortened response times and increased customer satisfaction
• Improved internal efficiency and reduced manual quote creation
Strategic Impact:
This project is a key component of Interroll’s ongoing digital transformation and supports the broader goal of providing seamless, automated, and customer-driven solutions. Partnering with Georgia Tech ensures we are leveraging advanced technical capabilities while aligning closely with business priorities.
