I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in ISyE at Georgia Tech. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Research from ISE, OSU, in August 2025, supervised by Dr. Chen Chen. I completed my B.S. in Math at Beijing Jiaotong University in June 2020.
I am interested in securing a faculty position that will allow me to make fundamental research and teaching contributions at the interface of optimization and computation. Most industrially-relevant problems in our field are NP-hard, suggesting that computational requirements to solve them increase significantly with problem size. Successful approaches to these problems require the development of clever algorithms that exploit problem structure. Recent trends in our field include AI/ML approaches that are revolutionizing the way we solve problems. At the same time, advanced hardware architectures such as GPUs are opening new possibilities for advances. Finally, challenges in our field include the rise of AI tools for teaching that are complicating the way students learn and are challenging instructors in new ways.
I have experience teaching two courses during my Ph.D. program as a teaching associate (TA), Linear Programming (Graduate Level) and Design of Experiments (Undergraduate Level). I am interested in teaching courses about mixed integer programming and computation in optimization.
