About

Sudie Pennebaker Davis is an Academic Advisor II for the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) at Georgia Tech.

Sudie’s primary responsibility is academic advising for ISyE undergraduate students where she assists with their long and short term academic planning. She assists with students’ course scheduling and registration and provides support to students as they work towards graduation. She also teaches GT 1000 during the Fall semester.

Prior to joining ISyE, Sudie was the academic advisor for the Master of Industrial Design program at Georgia Tech and oversaw the admission efforts for the MID program. Before coming to Georgia Tech in 2019, Sudie advised ISyE and Electrical Engineering students at Kennesaw State University and Neuroscience, Computer Science, and Business students at Georgia State University. Sudie earned her Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation Management with an emphasis in Community and Commercial Services from Georgia Southern University in 2009 and her Master of Science in Social Foundations of Education from Georgia State University in 2019. Sudie completed her master's research on inequities in higher education, specifically within admissions and financial aid. 

Sudie is currently serving as the GTAAN (Georgia Tech Academic Advisors Network) VP of Communications and as the Georgia Liaison for NACADA (The Global Community for Academic Advising) Region Four (the Southeast).
