About
Jyotishka is a third-year Ph.D. student in Machine Learning at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE), Georgia Tech. He is advised by Prof. Ashwin Pananjady and Prof. Yao Xie. He is a recipient of the Ronald J. and Carol T. Beerman President's Fellowship, starting in Fall 2024. His primary research interests broadly lie in the intersection of high-dimensional statistics, machine learning theory, and optimization. His previous research has addressed high-dimensional low-sample-size classification, robust clustering, and conditional independence testing.
Previously, he earned a Bachelor of Statistics (B.Stat) degree in 2022, and a Master of Statistics (M.Stat) degree (with Theoretical Statistics specialization) in 2024, both from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
