Education
- Ph.D. Engineering Science (2020), University of Oxford
- M.Eng. Engineering Science (2016), University of Oxford
Constance Crozier received her undergraduate and PhD degrees from the University of Oxford, in 2016 and 2020 respectively. Afterwards she spent a year working with the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, before moving to the University of Colorado Boulder as a postdoc. She joined ISyE as a faculty in Fall 2023.
Dr. Crozier's research focuses on electric energy systems, particularly concerning how emerging electric loads can help (rather than hurt) power system operation. She has active research projects relate to transport electrification, building heating and cooling, and data center operations.
Dr Crozier teaches courses in applied optimization, with a focus on building and solving optimization problems computationally. Specifically she has taught Financial Optimization (6673) and Deterministic Optimization (6669). She also teaches energy and power system courses, including 4501 for undergraduates and a special topics class for PhD students.
