Client Profile

At Wellstar, people are at the center of everything we do and every decision we make. As a not-for-profit organization, we have made a generational commitment to transform healthcare for all. We work to ensure every person has access to personalized care that helps them spend more time being a person, rather than a patient. That’s what we mean when we say we’re more than healthcare–we’re PeopleCare.

Wellstar is nationally recognized for our inclusive culture, exceptional doctors and team members, and personal, high-quality care. We thoughtfully reinvest in prevention, wellness programs and charity care, and provide access to compassionate, world-class care through our expansive system of 11 hospitals, 329 medical office locations, 11 cancer centers, 91 rehabilitation centers, 35 imaging centers, 20 urgent care locations, five health parks, three hospice facilities and two retirement villages.

Project Description

Capacity Analysis and Improvement at Acworth Health Park (AHP) Imaging Center. The Imaging Center at AHP is undergoing some changes with new MRI and CT machines, and with the new machines in place, we want to ensure that we are getting the most out of the new capacity as possible. This project would focus on analyzing current operations using tools such as direct observations, data analysis, process mapping, and potentially simulation. The goal would be to look at our current operations, from a staffing, scheduling, and daily process standpoint to determine the opportunities to improve our throughput and increase the number of daily imaging tests we are able to complete for the patients in our community.

Skills

Data Analysis, ability and willingness to complete direct observations to fill in data gaps, optimization / simulation experience, process mapping, meeting facilitation, and highly organized.
