Atlanta Humane Society
Client Profile
The Atlanta Humane Society is a no-kill shelter providing sheltering and adoption, veterinary care, and community outreach to the Atlanta Metro area. The mission of the Atlanta Humane Society is to improve animal welfare in the southeastern United States by providing quality animal services, including preventative initiatives, education, advocacy, and adoption of animals into permanent loving homes.Atlanta Humane is a major collaborative player in Georgia animal welfare with its community initiatives programming including support for the pets of families in crisis and community cat services.
Project Description
The Atlanta Humane Society Community Cat Program works year-round with other animal welfare organizations to provide TNR (trap-neuter-return) surgeries to community cats in Georgia to humanely reduce free-roaming cat populations over time. Data collection regarding number of cats, spay/neuter status, and cat monitoring at the individual and group (colony) level remains managed in a patchwork manner with each organization keeping its own documentation and records.Due to a desire for data-driven strategy and results, we are looking for a proposal to implement technology to establish standardized and centralized data collection, streamlined and collaborative communication, and provide reporting/data analysis.
Through process improvement and innovative technology, create a system to:
• Track spay/neuter statistics
• Document and maintain records at the individual and colony level
• Map colony locations and track cat sightings
• Allow inter-organizational collaboration and information sharing
• Allow a variety of end-users to input data
• Easily run reports and simple data analysis
