Named in honor of philanthropists Penny and Bill George, this state-of-the-art facility serves as the powerhouse new home for the nation's top-ranked H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE). Strategically connected to the neighboring 14-story Scheller Tower, the complex functions as a collaborative vertical campus. With its first three floors having officially opened in January 2026, the building is on track to be fully operational by Fall 2026, creating a high-energy ecosystem where world-class engineering and elite business programs collaborate steps away from local startups and industry giants.

Step inside, and the lower floors reveal a vibrant community hub designed for modern collaboration and active learning. The shared main lobby is anchored by a cantilevered monumental staircase that leads to 11 tech-integrated, active-learning classrooms, flexible huddle rooms, and quiet study nooks styled in inviting earth tones. On the ground level, students can grab a drink at Kaldi’s Coffee or gather at "The Porch," a dynamic social space inspired by classic Southern architecture. Featuring massive kinetic glass doors that fully open onto 5th Street, The Porch seamlessly blends the indoor lobby with a bustling outdoor courtyard, acting as a natural launchpad for networking, ideas, and events.

Beyond its world-class academic spaces, the complex is a pioneering model of sustainable, low-carbon engineering, actively targeting LEED Platinum and the highest Georgia Peach Green Building certification. Built with local North Georgia materials and eco-efficient concrete that contains half the embedded carbon of typical construction, the all-electric building is projected to use only a quarter of the energy of comparable structures. It boasts an advanced water-reclamation loop that harvests every drop of rainwater and condensation to reduce municipal water use by nearly 85%, features secure indoor storage for over 180 bicycles, and utilizes specialized bird-safe window striping on its lower floors to protect local wildlife.
