Kahua

Client Profile

Kahua is a global real estate and construction project management software company based out of Alpharetta, GA. Our low-code application platform (LCAP) is built to allow other industry participants to innovate in ways that a single company cannot. Kahua’s project management information system (PMIS) provides a centralized location for owners, general contractors, and subcontractors to collaborate, leading to success at every phase of a construction project.

Because all construction projects are managed differently, and because each project participants’ needs are different, our solution was created to be incredibly flexible. We offer a comprehensive suite of apps and tools that streamline various aspects of capital project management, including project costs, document and drawing control, sustainability tracking, asset centric management of data and documents, and much more.

Project Description

When it comes to technological adoption and innovation, the construction industry lags behind more forward-looking industries such as manufacturing. The gap between the construction industry and others has created a significant opportunity for technological disruption, and with the recent buzz about AI, it is a perfect time for a transformation.

The goal of this capstone project is to design and develop an innovative asset management solution tailored to construction owners. By combining initial asset data captured during design and construction with a continual feed of operational data, the final product will empower owners to gain better visibility, make informed decisions, and allocate resources efficiently to enhance the sustainability and overall performance of their building assets throughout their lifecycle.

We need a system that assists construction owners in allocating financial resources effectively for asset maintenance and replacement. The system should recommend budget allocations based on asset condition and priority. This will help owners optimize maintenance schedules and reduce unplanned downtime.
