Yu Yang

Yu Yang is a Ph.D. student in Operations Research at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. His research interests lie broadly in both discrete and continuous optimization, and he is actively exploring structure in mixed integer programs (MIP) through branching, decomposition as well as machine learning techniques. In the meantime, he is addressing challenging optimization problems arising in logistics systems. He is also interested in designing efficient algorithms with provable complexity bound for large-scale non-convex optimization problems from machine learning.
