About

Xinyu Liu is a Ph.D. student in Operations Research at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech since 2018. Xinyu is a recipient of the M.H. Stewart Fellowship and the McLean Fellowship. She received her bachelor?s degree in Operations Research and Business Analytics at Singapore University of Technology and Design in 2018, Summa Cum Laude.

Xinyu uses optimization, stochastic modeling, and data-driven methods to solve problems arising from transportation and travel behavior modeling. She is currently working on the modeling and design of pickup and drop-off facilities. Her research was supported by Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP) Graduate Research Award from 2019 to 2020. Her broader research interests include infrastructure and marketplace modeling for on-demand transportation and self-driving vehicles.

Xinyu is a passionate teacher and educator. As a proud H. Milton Stewart Ph.D. Student Teaching Fellow, she served as the instructor-of-record for an undergraduate stochastic modeling course in the summer of 2022. Xinyu was also honored to be recognized by the ISyE Outstanding GTA Award for 2021.
