Xiaowei Yue

Xiaowei Yue is a Ph.D. student at H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Beijing, China, in 2011, and M.S. degree in power engineering and engineering thermophysics from Tsinghua University, in 2013.

His research interests are focused on engineering-driven data analytics for complex systems. The research objective is to develop new methodologies for system-level fusion of data-driven models and physical models to effectively extract features from high-dimensional data, in order to realize real-time monitoring of system operations, accurate detection of system faults, quick diagnosis of root causes, predictive control and process optimization. Currently, He is working on in-situ process control and variability reduction for nanopowder production scale-up, quality improvement in the multistage manufacturing process of composite aircraft.

Mr. Yue is a member of ASME, IEEE, INFORMS and IISE.
