Industrial engineering, operations research, and systems engineering are fields of study intended for individuals who are interested in analyzing and formulating abstract models of complex systems with the intention of improving system performance. Unlike traditional disciplines in engineering and the mathematical sciences, the fields address the role of the human decision-maker as key contributor to the inherent complexity of systems and primary benefactor of the analyses.

Louis Faugère is an engineer and Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering, with concentration in Supply Chain Engineering, at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He received a "Diplôme d'Ingénieur" in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Arts et Metiers ParisTech (France) and a Master of Science in Supply Chain Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Louis' main research interests stand in the area of Hyperconnected City Logistics and the analysis and design of last-mile delivery solutions such as smart lockers and access hubs for parcel delivery. In parallel, he also has strong interests in supply chain agility and disruption planning and recovery. Industry oriented, Louis also is involved in managing the operations of the Physical Internet Center, as well as its panel of industry projects.
