Select 3 courses from the following list:
Students must select two courses with demonstrable technical content and that support the manufacturing and logistics track. These courses should be 6000-level or above and need not be confined to ISyE, but may include courses from other fields such as Computing, Mathematics, etc. Selections are subject to the approval of the student's advisor and the Associate Chair for Graduate Studies. To request a substitution, please use the Graduate Course Replacement form.
Certain courses in other engineering units and possibly, ones in mathematics and computer science may also be allowed but you must seek approval as indicated above. Generally courses in other units such as Management, Public Policy, Economics, etc. as well as ISyE courses not listed above, including ISyE 8900/8901 hours (special problems) can only be used as free electives.
Free Electives need not be selected from approved technical elective lists, although many students will select additional such courses. A free elective course can be chosen among any of Georgia Tech’s colleges, and should be chosen to complement your graduate study program. If a chosen free elective does not clearly align with your degree program, then you may be asked to provide a written explanation identifying how the course complements your study.
