Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE), was presented with the Harold W. Kuhn Award for her paper “Adaptive Random Search for Continuous Simulation Optimization,” co-authored with Andrei Prudius, MS OR 2004, PhD IE 2007, who was the co-recipient of the award.
Naval Research Logistics (NRL), one of the most prestigious journals in operations and logistics research, presents the Kuhn Award annually to recognize an exceptional paper published in NRL during the previous three years, selected by a committee of NRL associate editors.
Andradottir received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Iceland in 1986, a master’s degree in statistics from Stanford University in 1989, and a PhD in operations research from Stanford University in 1990.
