The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering invites applications for a Senior Research Scientist position in Physical Internet Engineering. Its scope encompasses conceptual, assessment, instrumental and validation research on Physical Internet enabled hyperconnected logistics and supply chains.
Of particular importance is to have strong knowledge and experience in (1) supply chain and logistics engineering and management; (2) agent-oriented discrete-events simulation of large-scale complex systems; (3) cybersecurity and distributed ledger technologies; (4) immersive technologies; and (5) collaborative research with industry.
The candidate will be expected to take a leading role in our research team at the Physical Internet Center, affiliated with the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute, and will be a key player in the Physical Internet (PI) Lab and the Sentient Immersive Response Network (SIReN) Lab.
Qualified applicants must possess a Ph.D. with at least five years of pertinent research experience, as evidenced through project leadership, scientific publications and technological contributions.
