Project Description
Forecast Model Hierarchy

This project will be working with the Demand Planner in the Supply Chain group. The overall goal is to improve the statistical forecasting by forecasting at the optimal hierarch level to improve the overall business product supply planning process..
Currently, we forecast at the labeled item/master/customer/location level. We have been discussing the option of changing the hierarchy to only extend to the master/customer/location level. We believe that forecast accuracy and the associated system maintenance would be reduced if we changed the hierarchy. The purpose of this project will be to analyze sales data to produce a forecast at both Hierchies and summarize the improvements and/or issues with the change.
