Academics
At the masters level, most OR students will pursue the Master of Science in Operations Research (MSOR) unless their interests are explicitly focused on statistics or financial engineering. In the former case, the Master of Science in Statistics (MSStat) is the option of choice and in the latter, many may opt to fulfill the requirements for the Master of Science in Quantitative and Computational Finance (MSQCF).
Students interested in doctoral study may be admitted directly to the Ph.D. program following their bachelors degree work. In general, admission to the Ph.D. program is highly competitive. For ACO applicants, admission involves an additional step, approval by the ACO Program Coordinating Committee.
