Basic scanning instructions for the Canon copier
Problem:
How do I use the Canon copier in the second-floor Groseclose copier room for scanning?Solution:
Note: You do not need to log in to the copier to be able to use the scanning features.
First, touch the tab on the screen that reads "Send" (this has a paper airplane image). This puts you on the scanning/sending dialog screen.
Choose your destination. This is where you wish the document to be sent. There are two ways to do this:
1) Use the Address Book
- Touch the button labeled "Address Book". This will open a new screen with names and email addresses. Touch the entry in the book with the desired address. If you do not see it, scroll down through the entries using the up and down arrows on the right side of the screen.
- You may select more than one address. Simply touch all the addresses you wish to be included. You will see a check mark beside each selected address.
- Press "OK" to return to the main screen.
2) Enter the address manually.
- Touch the button labeled "Email address". This will open a new screen with a standard keyboard layout, all in lower case. Enter the email address using the "keyboard" displayed on the screen. The "@" symbol is located in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
- Press "OK" when finished to return to the email address screen.
- Press "OK" to return to the main screen.
At this point you may send your document by pressing the "Start" button, which should show green.
To send another document, simply repeat the process.
