Marco Molinaro joined ISyE in August 2013 as an assistant professor. His research interests are broadly in discrete optimization, and in particular integer programming and optimization under limited information. He was the recipient of an IBM Ph.D. Fellowship, the Brazilian Computing Society award for best master's thesis in Computer Science, and the Gerald L. Thompson Doctoral Thesis Award in Management Science. Molinaro received his Ph.D. from the Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization program at Carnegie Mellon University in 2013.
