ISyE has a substantial computing infrastructure. Our network consists of over 1500 systems connected via ten subnets (six public subnetworks, three private subnetworks, and 802.11b wireless access) and connects to the Internet through the Georgia Tech fiber backbone.
This infrastructure is maintained by a team of six full-time computer professionals who support ISyE-specific applications in the undergraduate and graduate labs as well as graduate, faculty, staff computing systems, and a large set of research super-computing clusters. Our undergraduate and graduate computing laboratories are equipped with PC's with widescreen monitors and a full complement of software. In addition to the undergraduate and graduate computer labs, many graduate offices have computer systems available for use by students and the undergraduates have access to a virtual laboratory provided by the College of Engineering through the use of Tech Fee funding.
The IT staff is available to assist with any ISyE related computing issues between the hours
of 8AM until 6PM (at a minimum) on weekdays. The staff can be reached in person in their office
suites in the Groseclose building (suites 302 and 306 and room 305), through our helpdesk phone line
at 404-894-6518, and through our online helpdesk system helpdesk@isye.gatech.edu. For more information
