A postdoctoral position is available immediately for a highly motivated individual with an interest in model based systems engineering. The position is housed in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech and requires working with industrial sponsors and with graduate scholars and other research personnel participating in the Product & Systems Lifecycle Management Center (http://www.pslm.gatech.edu/). The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about systems engineering, have excellent communication skills, and have authored publications related to engineered systems. Knowledge of SysML or UML is desirable, and an interest in becoming expert in SysML is expected. A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline is a requirement for the position. Background checks will be required prior to any offer of employment.
The successful candidate will be involved in the preparation of proposals and papers, serve as a mentor to graduate students, and assist with all activities of Dr. McGinnis’ research program. The postdoctoral researcher will be engaged in the following areas:
