The H. Milton Stewart School gives a number of awards and scholarships to students each year based on recommendations and the student’s current resume. The Award recipients are selected in early March, and most of the awards are for past performance over the previous year. The Leadership Award is given to officers of the student chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and to the president of Alpha Pi Mu, IE’s honor society.
This award is given to a senior who has provided exceptional service to the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering.
The Alpha Pi Mu Honor Society presents $500 to a senior with the best academic achievement, including GPA, difficulty in the curriculum, research, and other scholarly accomplishment. The winner’s name will be added to the perpetual plaque outside of the academic office.
Henry Ford II Best Junior Award is administered in the College of Engineering and given to the student at the end of the third year with best academic performance in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial Engineering. Be sure your updated resume is on file.
Five Jack Webb Scholarship are given to rising juniors or seniors in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering. The cash award of $1,000 each is based on scholarship, leadership and extracurricular and community activities. Be sure your updated resume is on file.
Two Kurt Salmon Associates Scholarship of $1000 is awarded to selected senior in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering. The Scholarship is based on academic merit and contribution in the School. Be sure your updated resume is on file.
Two ALCOA Foundation Scholarship are awarded for second, third or fourth year students who have the right to work in the United States. The successful candidate would exhibit the strong leadership skills, high energy level, solid academic performance, excellent interpersonal skills, tolerance for stress, initiative. The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Scholarship of $2,000 is shared by the selected awardees who have a GPA of 3.2 or above and contributes to the supply chain engineering program at Georgia Tech. Please apply before the end of January.
This scholarship, established in 2006, is presented to an industrial engineering student who is interested in establishing a small business and gaining financial freedom. The student must have clear business objectives and goals along with the demonstrated determination to pursue and reach those goals. Please send the your applications to Ms. Patti. C. Parker.
Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded to ISyE students with manufacturing and supply chain focus, entering junior or senior, with GPA of 3.3, US citizen, interested in electronics and manufacturing in aerospace/defense, and is willing to interview and consider job at L-3 Communications in Salt Lake city.
