The Institute of Industrial Engineers is the professional organization for IEs. You can find information, participate activities, join its social network, take short courses and seek scholarships. ISyE has the largest and most active IIE Student chapter. The local chapters organizes career fairs, company information sessions, site visits, alumni sessions, course information sessions, etc. Please consider to join the organization.
Alpha Pi Mu (ΑΠΜ) is the honor society for IEs. It was established by James T. French, a senior in ISyE in Georgia Tech in 1949. Membership is extended only to Industrial Engineering juniors in the top 1/5 of their class and seniors in the top 1/3 of their class.
Tau Beta Pi (ΤΒΠ) is an engineering honor society. It is dedicated to excellence and to the spirit of liberal culture in engineering. Memberships is extended to the top 1/8 of their Junior class, or the top 1/5 of their senior class.
The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) is the largest professional society in the world for professionals in the field of operations research (O.R.), management science, and business analytics.
