Transferring from Another Major at Georgia Tech

Beginning with Spring Semester 2009, ISyE is handling changes of major in group sessions. Dates and times are shown below. Please do not call or email the ISyE advisors for an appointment for a change of major into our School. You will use the sign-up system explained below.

Eligibility for a Change of Major into ISyE

• Under 60 credit hours: No GPA requirement for students under 60 hrs.
• 60 credit hours or more: There is a 2.8 cumulative GPA

How to Change your Major into ISyE

• Print out the change of major form
• Have your present major complete their part on the form. You can find your current advisor at http://www.advising.gatech.edu
• Attend a mandatory Change of Major meeting in the IE School. Bring your signed form.

Change of Major Meetings

Every student must attend one full change of major meeting. Meetings are heald monthly, and dates and times are listed on the Change of Major Signup Page. Bring your signed change form to the meeting. At this meeting we will discuss Industrial Engineering, the Curriculum, and introduce you to the advisors.

Please sign up on the Change of Major List. Please be sure to attend the meeting on the date and time you have selected. And be sure that you have signed up for a session appropriate for your class.

All meetings will be held in the ISyE Main Building, Rm. 228 (Executive Classroom)
