MASTERS PROGRAM
GUIDELINES FOR SELECTING TECHNICAL ELECTIVES
This document is provides guidance as you
look for courses to fulfill "technical elective requirements" for
both the MSIE (manufacturing and logistics track) and the MSOR. A course
not on these lists must be approved by the Associate Chair for Graduate Studies.
In such cases, you need to seek approval
BEFORE you take a course.
MSIE
The following courses in ISyE are approved for use in order to satisfy the
technical/area electives requirement for the manufacturing and logistics track.

program, and possibly, ones in mathematics and computer science may also be
allowed but you must seek approval as indicated above. Generally courses in
other units such as Management, Public Policy, Economics, etc. as
well as most ISyE courses not listed above, including ISyE 8900/8901
hours (special problems) will be used to satisfy "free electives".
